Exploration on the Integration Path of Ideological and Political Education and Mental Health Education in Universities

Abstract: Under the background of education in the new era, ideological and political education and mental health education in universities have received widespread attention. Ideological and political education is an important component of higher education, helping to guide students in establishing correct worldviews, values, and outlooks on life; while mental health education serves as an effective pathway to ensure the quality of ideological and political education, assisting students in developing accurate self-awareness and cultivating positive emotions. These two aspects are closely interconnected and indispensable. Therefore, the following discussion primarily explores the integration pathways of ideological and political education and mental health education in universities, aiming to further enhance the effectiveness of nurturing homo sapiens in higher education.
